BUSH UNLEASH NEW SINGLE 'THE ONLY WAY OUT'

Bush recently announced that their ‘Man on the Run’ album would arrive on Oct. 21 and now they’ve issued the album’s first single, ‘The Only Way Out.'

While the band keeps up the melodic rock style that has served them well, the single takes on a more serious tone, coming from the view of someone trying to get through some relationship issues.

Frontman Gavin Rossdale tells USA Today of the song, “It’s a good gateway into the record. This record gets a bit wider and probably a little darker. This is just the right way in.”

Rossdale revived the Bush name for 2011′s ‘The Sea of Memories’ disc after nearly a decade of solo efforts and side projects. With first-era holdovers Chris Traynor and Robin Goodridge on board and bassist Corey Britz filling out the lineup, Rossdale and company scored a big hit with that album’s single ‘The Sound of Winter.’

This time out, the group paired up with producer Nick Raskulinecz, and Rossdale says, “I thought he would never let me get too sentimental, sonically or lyrically. I thought he would keep it muscular, live and animalistic, which is what I really wanted.”

The rocker insists that the mission was accomplished, with a majority of the tracks on the album being able to stand up live against the songs that the band has built its history upon.
